We offer custom-built saunas. Any size and shape. Our saunas are manufactured from the highest quality wood. This wood is imported and kilned dried for use in saunas.
Heaters: We work together with our associates in Cape Town. We are also able to supply the Helo brand of saunas. These include Infrared saunas.
The most often used types of wood are: the Scandinavian Spruce & Obeche and are readily available, also less expensive, than the others. Also available are, American Bass Wood, Western Red Cedar and Aspen.
Our panels are insulated to retain heat, thereby also keeping running cost of the heaters down. We do not install or supply infrared saunas; we believe that the traditional hot rock saunas are the best.
We construct our saunas at our factory, completely assembled and then, disassemble and reconstruct on site. We do not just nail a few planks to your wall; we follow European standards for building our saunas.
The ceiling height of a sauna should not exceed 2.1m. The sauna floor is tiled, including a 100mm tiled skirting-not done by us
Much has been made of the health benefits of sauna bathing. With good reason. Physically, nothing is more reinvigorating than a deep, healthy sweat every day. Tension fades. Muscles unwind. Mentally, we emerge relaxed, revived and ready for whatever the day may bring. A few minutes a day is all it takes to look and feel better. The body’s response to gentle, persistent heat is well-documented and proven day in and out by people all over the world. This is why more and more doctors are recommending its purifying benefits.
Saunas are custom-built wooden cabins with a heater inside. The sauna cabin is made from a special wood treated to withstand high heat. Typical temperatures reach about 90°C with very low humidity. Humidity is in most cases less than 10% and is only caused by water being poured over the sauna rocks occasionally.
